Watch Dan + Shay's Sweet Performance Of A 'Sesame Street' Classic

Dan + Shay stopped by The Not-Too-Late Show With Elmo on June 25 for a performance of the classic Sesame Street song, "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon."

The Grammy-winning duo, consisting of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, delivered a flawless rendition of the tune as Elmo watched from side stage. "I Don't Want To Live On the Moon" was written by Jeff Moss and originally performed by Ernie (voiced by Jim Henson) for the1980 album, The People In Your Neighborhood.

"Though I’d like to look down at the earth from above/ I would miss all the places and people I love / So although I might like it for one afternoon/ I don’t wanna live on the moon," Dan + Shay sang in the chorus.

The Not-Too-Late Show With Elmo, which launched in May on HBO Max, highlights different parts of kids' bedtime routines, including putting on pajamas, reading stories, and transitioning from daytime to nighttime. Elmo hosts the weekly episode every Thursday with Cookie Monster as his sidekick.

In addition to Dan + Shay, the show also features guests like Lil Nas X, H.E.R., the Jonas Brothers, Olivia Wilde, John Mulaney, Jonathan Van Ness and more.
