Luke Combs has a hilarious word of advice for anyone interested in learning to fish… even if they have no idea how to do it. Combs jokingly welcomed viewers to a “Bass Amateur Shop” in a skit that aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

“Hey y’all. I’m Luke Combs, and I love to fish — but I’m no pro. That’s why I start every adventure with a trip to Bass Amateur Shop,” Combs says in the skit, showing an image of the exterior of the fictitious shop that says, “dummies welcome.” Combs calls it, “the place for people who love to fish, but don’t have the faintest idea how to do it. Our friendly employees are ready to help find the gear that’s right for you, and answer all of your stupidest questions.”

Quirky questions range include, “how we is the fish going to be?,” and “why is one fish, ‘fish,’ and two fish is also ’fish?,’” among others. Combs quips that the store sells all the products customers will need for a fishing trip, including “cranky turny guys” and “scoopdy-doops.” He ultimately reminds viewers: “You don’t have to be a professional to get drunk on a lake.” Watch it here:

The lighthearted skit comes shortly after Combs released his latest highly-anticipated album and, days earlier, welcomed his first child with wife Nicole. The proud parents introduced their son, Tex Lawrence Combs, on social media on June 21, sharing that he was born on Fathers Day (June 19) and that “Mama and baby are healthy and we’re back home now with family.”

Combs’ new 12-track album, Growin’ Up, released on June 24. The country hitmaker said in a heartfelt tweet the night before the project’s debut: “Y’all I can’t believe this album is finally coming out tomorrow. I’ve got a beautiful, healthy baby boy, an amazing wife, a good dog, good friends, good family, and the best fans. I’m having a whiskey by myself to celebrate and process it all. Life is good. Cheers!”
