Lunchbox Finds Out If He's Headed To Space On Civilian Mission

Earlier this year, The Bobby Bones Show crew members names were all put into a hat for a drawing as a segment on the show. The last person's name to get pulled out of the hat would be submitted from the show for a chance to go to space on the first civilian space mission.

The show decided to get involved because the drawing was raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. So everyone put up $20 to be put in the show's hat drawing, and Lunchbox lost meaning there would be 5 submissions in the contest to go to space with Lunchbox's name on it. Lunchbox really didn't want to go so he went double or nothing convincing the show to have another hat drawing, adding in two other show members. To do so, Lunchbox had to pay $150 to St. Jude. He ultimately lost again meaning there were several submissions in the contest to go to space with Lunchbox's name.

We found out today that Lunchbox will not be heading to space. He wasn't one of the four picked for the civilian mission, and he couldn't be more excited about it. The four individuals going are Jared Isaacman: the billionaire-entrepreneur who purchased the mission from SpaceX, Hayley Arceneaux: a healthcare worker representing St. Jude, and the newly added Sian Proctor and Chris Sembroski: both of the science and aerospace communities who won their seats. The Crew Dragon mission on Inspiration 4 will spend three days in orbit with all of the proceeds from the contest going to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
