Oh snap! "Empire" just got some more star power. Taye Diggs is joining the already star-studded cast, making the show that much more lit.
TVLine reports that the actor will portray a city councilman named Angelo Dubois. Taye's character comes from an affluent, respected New York family, too.
The site says, "With his pedigree and a Harvard law diploma, Diggs’ Angelo could have made a fortune in the private sector. Instead, he is ruled by his sense of noblesse oblige, and focuses his energies on community organizing and local politics, inviting comparisons to Barack Obama."
