Seattle Mariners pitcher James Paxton had one of the most patriotic moments imaginable before yesterday's game in Minnesota when a bald eagle landed on his shoulder during the singing of the national anthem. The majestic bird was supposed to fly over the field and return to its handler, but it somehow got confused and landed on Paxton instead. To the pitcher's credit, he stayed remarkably calm and handled it perfectly. Paxton pitched well, but his Mariners still lost to the Twins.
