Tupelo/Lee County Hunger Coalition launches BreakBox
Tupelo, MS – Tupelo/Lee County Hunger Coalition announces BreakBox to address family food insecurity this summer. BreakBox is a food box program providing supplemental food for students in grades pre-K through 12th Grade in Baldwyn, Lee, Tupelo, and Nettleton School Districts from June through August.
The Coalition has launched a Spring Fundraising Campaign to support BreakBox, with a goal of $20,000 by May 28th.
To support BreakBox, individuals can text “BreakBox” to 40403 or they can go to the website: www.tupeloleehungercoalition.org and click on DONATE. Individuals can also send a check made out to the CREATE Foundation and earmarked “BreakBox” and mail the check to Tupelo/Lee Hunger Coalition, P.O. Box 334, Tupelo, MS 38802.
BreakBox is the Hunger Coalition’s effort to provide supplemental food for students who receive free/reduced meals during the school year but experience a gap during the summer months
