Shania Twain is “nothing if not spontaneous!”
Twain, 60, shared a look at her venture from Wembley Stadium to BST Hyde Park in London, England. She made it in 60 minutes. Twain wrote in her caption on TikTok: “I’m nothing if not spontaneous! Thank you to [Mumford & Sons] that was an absolute party and I loved every minute of it!!” Mumford & Sons’ Marcus Mumford told the cheering crowd that “Shania Twain is my f***ing hero.” See the clip here (warning: language).
Twain played shows at Wembly Stadium with pop icon Harry Styles, serving as a special guest during his stadium residency. The Come On Over hitmaker said then series of concerts “is a marathon not a sprint and I wanted to cross the finish line triumphant!” She thanked Styles and the fans, and reflected on her surprise moment at Hyde Park with Mumford & Sons. Twain wrote in a caption on Instagram that she's “leaving London with an overflowing cup - happy and grateful.”
The history-making country star delivered the performances as she gets ready to release her seventh studio album, Little Miss Twain, later this month. The record “is reflective of my teens, my roots as well as the energy of the rock and R&B I loved so much, but still with that Western twang,” Twain previously said in a statement. “Where I’m from you don’t go anywhere on a horse — you go on a snowmobile. I was dreaming about the Western lifestyle and I was living in a very different world than where I ended up.” Little Miss Twain will arrive on July 24.
